This is the day that the 2020 SR0 43 goes into effect and is strictly prohibited from entering any vehicle for 10 years or more from the shores of Grenada. The initiative was first announced in the 2020 Budget Speech. Vehicles shipped from the country of origin must arrive on or before December 31, 2020 in order to meet the ban requirements. No vehicle of 10 years and older that arrives in Grenada after the specified date will be permitted to be cleared unless it is included in the exemptions. Importing a vehicle that is not exempt for 10 years and above is a violation of Customs Law 9 of 2015, which has resulted in confiscation, fines and penalties imposed by a court of law.
